Welcoming the Stranger holds free workshops and events to help you learn new skills, meet new people and socialize with other immigrants and Americans. Welcoming the Stranger can also help you with other needs like finding a job, getting housing, finding legal help, accessing affordable childcare, food, and healthcare, and much more. WTS on social media:
WTS has a private facebook group for students where we often post job listings, free stuff (like furniture, clothes, etc. that someone has offered us), fun free events, services that people offer (for example free tax preparation), and more. To join this group, click the link and click the blue button that says “Join Group.” If you are a member of this group already, you are able to add friends by typing their name in the box that says “Invite Members".
